Our Trainers
We are privileged to work a selection of the some best and exciting up and coming trainers in the UK. The qualities we look for from a trainer, go beyond just results on the track. The ability to train winners, and achieve the very best performances from each horse is very high on the list. but communication, horse welfare, accessibility and ambition are hugely important.
The relationship between a trainer and owner is one of the most critical in horse racing and both our team, and the trainers work hard to ensure that relationship is as strong and mutually beneficial as it possibly can be, enabling a world class experience to be delivered to our members.
Dan & Claire Kubler
Berkshire
Based in Lambourn, Berkshire, husband & wife team, Dan & Claire, have trained for The Gold & Green since 2018, and sent out both Arishka and Siempre Arturo to win for members. Currently, they train Siempre Arturo and Penn Avenue, continuing to demonstrate their ability to achieve great results with the right horse. A tight team with very complementary skills, they have repeatedly proven their expertise and dedication to success.
Camilla Poulton
South Downs
Along with her daughter (assistant trainer) Eliza Poulton, Camilla is based right next to the South Downs near Lewes. A beautiful location and one that seems to encourage horses to thrive. Camilla had tremendous success when assistant to her then-husband and is working to replicate and surpass those results.
Training for the Gold and Green Crowd since June 2020, Team Poulton have now trained 7 winners in our colours and had countless place finishes.
Currently we have 1 horse in their care, Aced It.
Rebecca Menzies
County Durham
Rebecca is based near Sedgefield in the North-East of England and is in the midst of a seriously upward curve in the number of horses and winners in her and the team's care.
While we don’t currently have any horses in training with Rebecca, we are actively looking for opportunities to work with her, as she is a trainer perfectly suited to how we see the Gold and Green growing. The prospect of expanding our involvement with Rebecca is an exciting one.
Olly Murphy
Warwickshire
Olly is an outstanding young trainer who already has grade one successes to his name. Olly has trained over 500 winners in the UK, accruing in excess of £4million in prize money in the past 5 years alone and maintains an impressive strike rate of 17% winners to runners across that period.
The calibre of the results Olly has proven he can secure are without question. Olly trains ChampagneSuperover and Here Comes McCoy who has won twice for Gold and Green.
Noel Williams
Berkshire
Based in an idyllic spot on the Berkshire Downs just a stone's throw away from the ancient Ridgeway. Surrounded by arable land and historic grass gallops, our fabulous facilities allow Noel and his team to maintain a relaxed environment in which horses of all levels and temperaments can train and flourish. Noel trains Maximum Effort for the Gold and Green, and we are actively looking to add to another one.
Edward Smyth Osbourne
Berkshire
Our newest addition, and already with a 4-time winner in our colours to his name; Ed is brand new to the training ranks. His first runner was in March 2024, quickly followed by his first winner (Noodle Mission). Having had a superb grounding in training racehorse across two continents and with some of the best in the business, Ed has the potential to make a significant mark on the training ranks from his Lambourn base.
